In the late 19th century, in the now-vanished town of Atlas, young Abigail Clayton was known for her unusual talent of photographing the dead. A skill that guarded a terrifying secret: the subjects of her images whispered secrets about the living to her.
People from all over the country traveled to meet "Medium Clayton"; she received peasants and diplomats, helped with legal and police cases, until an accusation of insanity and a gruesome murder ended her short career. "Witch, madwoman, murderer," they say she was confined for more than a decade in the basement of a sanatorium before tuberculosis and oblivion killed her.
They say many things about her. However, the only clear thing is that the true story of those she photographed was hidden in the whispers of ghosts or behind the click of one of her photos.
